Brit Chick Bites
The Apple!

The UK’s award-winning country music radio
station, 3C, paradoxically the biggest country music broadcaster in
New
York,
has invited Rachael Warwick – as the only
UK artist – to perform at their
run-up show to the prestigious CMA Awards in
Manhattan in
November.
3C’s
decision to include Rachael for the concert on November 13 was a
smart move. She is, after all one
of the most played English Country artists in the US, the only
English artist in the Texas charts twice, a popular UK radio awards winner,
plus she’s just signed endorsements with both Epiphone and Peavey, is
guaranteed to have prominent billing at most major European festivals in
2006…and her latest single, One Last Look
At Love, is currently at No 1 in both the British Independent Country
charts and the Independent Country charts.
No mean feat.
As the sassy
lady herself says:
"These past twelve months have been a fabulous
experience…and now to be invited to perform at the 3C Salute to
New
York show is a fantastic way to see out the
year. I’m really looking forward to
2006!"
Indeed, and
if 2005 is anything to go by, next year will be a humdinger.
Rachael –
who’ll also be attending the CMA Awards on November 15 – will be available for
TV, radio and press interviews in the
UK and New
York
in October and November.

NYC Country Fans Hooked on U.K Station

The
UK's award
winning Country Music Radio Station, 3C, has been entertaining
New
York country fans
over the internet for several years. Now, 3C goes one step further by bringing
live country music to Manhattan to tie in with November's Country
Music Association Awards.
New York's
love affair with the UK's country music station began when the Big Apple's only
local country station changed formats over three years ago, leaving local
country fans bereft. 3C reached out to the frustrated listeners by posting
information on internet message boards, inviting New Yorkers and listeners in
the adjoining Tri
State area to adopt
3C as their home station.
The
relationship has built from there, with 3C now airing 5 hours of music nightly
with station ID's custom tailored for New
York listeners and
daily feedback between US listeners and the station's Glasgow
headquarters.
November13th,
two days before the CMA awards, 3C take
this unique transatlantic partnership one step further when it hosts a live
acoustic showcase of US and UK country performers. Rivers
Rutherford (who has written for Tim McGraw, Faith Hill), Rachael
Warwick (a UK artist
taking Nashville by storm) along with Jay Teter (new country heart throb and rising
star)and many more artists will all perform ‘live and unplugged’ in an exclusive
concert held in the heart of Manhattan for an audience of 3C listeners from both
sides of the Atlantic, as well as invited members of industry and the media
.
Although the idea of Americans listening
to country music shows beamed from Britain might at first sound paradoxical, 3C’s
US listeners are in no doubt that they like what they
hear.
Listener
Libb“When
we lost our country radio station over 3 years ago in the NYC Metro area I found
3c on the Internet. It's the only station I listen to now. If I could take 3c
with me in my car, life would be perfect! Thank you 3c for keepin' it country
for New
York,
New
Jersey
and Connecticut!”
