The 2005 CMA Music Festival kicked
off last week in Nashville with the Global Artist Night
at The Stage on Broadway. Billed as "Country Music's
Biggest Party", invitations went out to the best and
brightest international acts.
Epiphone
endorsee Rachael Warwick was not only invited
to perform but also honored to be asked
to be the host of the show. The crowd was awestruck from the moment Warwick
graced the stage as host and her performance
later in the evening was electrifying. From
the opening notes of Warwicks' hit song
'Mistake' to the finale 'Goodbye' (taken
from Anglo-Americana her forthcoming album)
Warwick owned the crowd.
Warwick has managed to
create something new, boundary crossing, and genre
embracing and if there was any doubt as to whether
America would accept this artist and her ground breaking
sound it was vanquished on this night.
Nashville Stars, CMA
& industry representatives were in attendance with
massive support from most national & local media
including CMT, XM Satellite Radio, and many others
including local News Channel 4 which aired their segment
shortly before the downtown Nashville event.
