Ambassador Robert H Tuttle held the 2007 Independence
Day celebrations at “Winfield House” his London
residence.
The 4th July event was held to celebrate Independence Day and to highlight
the strength & vitality of the US-UK relationship.
Over 2000 VIP’s were invited to the celebrations
including Politicians, Dignitaries, Royalty,
US Service people & celebrities.
For the second time this year Rachael Warwick
and her band “New Jack Union” were invited
to perform at the Ambassadors celebrations.
Warwick & her band performed an hours
set in the grounds of Winfield House and was
followed by Sarah Brightman who sang the UK
& USA National Anthems.
Warwick, who was nominated by the CMA for
the Global Country Artist Award & is the
only Brit to feature on Universal records
“Country” compilation, said of the celebrations,
“It was a fantastic event and an honour to
be asked to perform. I had a wonderful time
and met some very interesting people. It’s
great to receive this kind of seal of approval
from the President of the USA’s UK representative”.
Negotiations are currently under way for
Warwick to support one of the world’s biggest
rock/pop acts at one of the UK’s largest arenas.
An announcement will be made in the coming
weeks.
Warwick and New Jack Union fly out to Cognac
next week to perform 3 shows at the Cognac
Blues Passions Festival. Hennessey Cognac
have asked Rachael to create a master blend
of Cognac in celebration of her visit.
Rachael is also headlining the Visagino Festival
in Lithuania on August 18th, the event brings
in over 10,000 people and it will also be
televised.
