6 Tracks of pure modern country sound. Now I usually like my country a little on the conservative side. Not into all that modern stuff. So imagine my surprise when I found that I really like this album, yes it's different No! it isn't pure country but I do realize that country has to keep pushing the boundaries or it will become staid and boring and this girl is not staid nor boring. Rachel is going to give the top american country artist a run for their money. She writes her own material and sings in her own style you're not going to pigeon hole this girl with a 'She sounds like Dolly or Tammy tag'. First thing that struck me, was here is a british artist that uses professional promotion, you get so fed up with good artist letting themselves down with sloppy packaging. the packaging alone makes you sit up and take notice, but that isn't all, once you've opened the package you realize that here is a gem, star oozes out of every song on this mini album and trust me the more you hear of it the more you'll like it. Let's get down to business only 6 tracks well I'd rather have 6 great tracks than 10 also ran's. Track 1 Ask Me No Questions - a song about a girl telling her lover that her feeling for him have gone. A nice easy pace number just waiting for a dance to be written to it. Track 2 Thank You - This is a really different sound a song about two lovers only he'll give her the earth if it's free, never brings her flowers and the chocolates are from the out of date bin (She must have been out with me at sometime, in a previous life.) Despite all this they are in love. Another dance track waiting for a choreographer. Track 3 Angel- A song about someone watching over you making sure you don't go wrong. Really haunting sound and words. This will grow on you. Track 4 Cowboy - An escapist song very cleverly done great rhythm lovely dance track. Track 5 Mistake - The only mistake she made was to fall in love I've heard this song a couple of dozen times and I just can't get enough I've written a dance to it and it's available on the website. I hope I've done this great track justice, the album is worth it for this song alone. Track 6 Highway 109 - A love song about thinking about her lover, another great dance number. 6 tracks not a dud amongst them this is an album from a rising young star don't wait for the train to stop jump on board now and enjoy the ride from the beginning there is no telling how far this young lady will travel but I'm sure it will be all the way.
